Environmental efficiency under weak disposability: an improved super efficiency data envelopment analysis model with application for assessment of port operations considering NetZero

چکیده

Because port operations have rapidly been extending, air pollution resulted from ports has increased and become a persistent concern for environmentalist policy makers. The objective of this paper is to measure the environmental efficiency in Korea. main characteristic assessment problem that undesirable output carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions exogenous fixed input terminal area should concurrently be considered. By analysing impacts outputs on decision making units (DMUs) performance, super slacks-based data envelopment analysis (SE-SBM-DEA) approach proposed. proposed consists two models: (SBM) model SBM (SE-SBM) model. models effectively discriminate between efficient inefficient ports, rank their efficiencies. To restrict any decreases or increases levels, slacks inputs are removed target functions relevant constraints approach. In addition, formulated according weak disposability assumption, so they can only reduced with reduction certain desirable outputs. Hence, its slack also SE-SBM models. As result, scalar measures deal discretionary DMU being evaluated. We examine applicability approach, using real data, 19

Data Envelopment Analysis with Sensitive Analysis and Super-efficiency in Indian Banking Sector

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is non-parametric linear programming (LP) based technique for estimating the relative efficiency of different decision making units (DMUs) assessing the homogeneous type of multiple-inputs and multiple-outputs. The procedure does not require a priori knowledge of weights, while the main concern of this non-parametric technique is to estimate the optimal weights o...

Weak Disposability in Integer-Valued Data Envelopment Analysis

Conventional data envelopment analysis (DEA) models normally assume all inputs and outputs are real valued and continuous. However in problems some inputs and outputs can only take integer values, also, both desirable and undesirable outputs can be generated . In this paper the effect of undesirable outputs in integer DEA model is discussed. The proposed model distinguishes weak disposability o...

Interval efficiency assessment using data envelopment analysis

This paper studies how to conduct efficiency assessment using data envelopment analysis (DEA) in interval and/or fuzzy input–output environments. A new pair of interval DEA models is constructed on the basis of interval arithmetic, which differs from the existing DEA models handling interval data in that the former is a linear CCR model without the need of extra variable alternations and uses a...

A distance-based measure of super efficiency in data envelopment analysis: an application to gas companies

Conventional data envelopment analysis (DEA) assists decision makers in distinguishing between efficient and inefficient decision making units (DMUs) in a homogeneous group. However, DEA does not provide more information about efficient units. Super-efficiency DEA models can be used in ranking the performance of efficient DMUs. This research proposes a methodology to determine an Euclidean dist...
